The intent of this "Mommy Blog" AndTwinsMake5 has always been to simply share my own day to day experiences as a Mom. By doing so, I hope I provide value to others while indulging a few of my own passions which include my kids, photography, party planning, adventuring, shopping, decorating, cooking, and writing.
AndTwinsMake5 features my own parenting insights, whimsical moments, decorating tips, observations on family life, comments on world happenings, product reviews on items we use, contests, mentions of places we go, comments on services we have utilized and liked, and even some crafty projects. It's a collection of all those things I see, hear, do, love, and ponder with my family. It's us. And since my last two children are twins, I frequently find myself including insights into the world of twins and multiples too.
Before beginning this blog I majored in English at the University of Iowa. I also worked in various capacities at an insurance agency, dabbled at being an artist performing freelance graphic illustration work for parenting magazines including the Chicago Parent, and did some stock photography work.
From day to day, my content varies greatly much like real life tends to do. There are days my prose and photos may make readers laugh or nod in agreement, other days readers may find the review of something they've pondered purchasing or learn about a new clothing line or must have toy.
When I am not at work on my blog, I am doing all those things you other mommies do. I'm out carpooling, cooking, cleaning, cheering my kids on at sporting events, and stealing as many sticky finger hugs and sloppy kisses as possible.
Special Acknowledgments: My blogging experiences have extended well beyond written posts to include many real life adventures such as trips to the company headquarters of brands like Build-a-Bear, P&G Pampers Baby Care, Kraft Kitchens, and Gatorade. I am also a member of various exclusive blogger panels and programs including the P&G Pampers Baby Board, Kraft Kitchens Delicious Byte Official Blogger Program, and Trend Micro's Digital Joneses Study. Additionally, I've been invited to attend numerous special brand events over the years including the Night at The Smithsonian Museum Event compliments of Hershey's Chocolate Company and our family's recent trip to NYC to attend a Father's Day Pampers Event #PampersMVDs (that included meeting Giants QB Eli Manning before he threw out the first pitch with his daughter at a Mets Game).
