Kraft Foods Backyard Party - Review & Giveaway! #KraftBackyardParty

Summer is made for backyard entertaining.  A little sun, a lot of fun, and add to that some great food and beverages to fill up your tum!  The folks at Kraft Foods recently sent us a great collection of their new products along with a few bonus entertaining items to jump start our first summer gathering on the back patio.  Plus, we have a second collection to giveaway to one of you!


This Backyard Party collection sent included a Rubbermaid Carafe we used to serve and sample some of Kraft's new great tasting beverages like KOOL-AID's New Unsweetened Peach Mango and Unsweetened Strawberry Kiwi Drink Mixes, as well as the New COUNTRY TIME Half & Half Lemonade Drink Mix (made with a combination of Half Lemonade and Half Iced Tea).

We will definitely be buying more of the Country Time Half & Half when our supply runs out, my older kids are HUGE fans of half & half drinks and having a mix version available to keep in the pantry is a a big plus.  Both Kool-aid's received high praise as well, we even used some of the new kool-aid along with some chunks of fresh fruit to make popsicles.  Note the Target Colorwheel Serving Tray they also sent, how cute is that?

Additionally, Kraft sent us a Crate and Barrel Chill Salad Bowl with Salad Servers  that we put to immediate use serving the KRAFT SIZZLING SALADS Southwest Chicken Dinner we prepared from the provided kit.  The Southwest salad was a big hit!  In fact, the meal was so successful that I bought four more of the various flavored sizzling salad kits at the store the next day to have on hand for easy dinners.

While at the store I used a provided voucher to purchase a free package of the new VELVEETA Slices Queso Blanco. We used the Queso Blanco slices to top burgers that night and loved the taste of it.  We even added a slice or two of avocado for an extra treat.

Next time I plan to try this recipe for Velveeta Slices Queso Blanco Burgers that Kraft sent along:

Prep Time: 30 min. | Makes: 4 servings.

What You Need

2		Tbsp. KRAFT SANDWICH SHOP Chipotle Flavored Reduced Fat Mayonnaise
1		plum tomato, seeded, finely chopped
2		Tbsp. finely chopped red onions
1		Tbsp. chopped fresh cilantro
1		lb. lean ground beef
4		VELVEETA Slices
4		hamburger buns

Make It

Heat grill to medium heat.

Combine first 4 ingredients.

Shape meat into 4 (1/2-inch-thick) patties. Grill 7 to 9 min. on each side or until done (160ºF). Top with VELVEETA; grill 1 min. or until melted.

Fill buns with cheeseburgers and mayonnaise mixture.

Serving Suggestion:For added color and texture, serve with a mixed green salad.

How to Turn Hamburgers:
When cooking ground beef patties, turn them over with a spatula. Do not flatten the patties during the cooking process since that will cause the juices to escape, resulting in dry cooked burgers.

Last but not least, Kraft sent us the new HONEY MAID Lil’ Squares Honey Grahams. First I have to comment on the fact that these are so darn cute! Additionally, my twin three year olds are in love with them. Toss them in snack baggies with Kraft mini marshmallows and chocolate chips for a fun s’more-style dessert on the go.
